Current COVID-19 vaccination offers to end after 30 June 2023

People aged 75 and above or with a weakened immune system can book their spring COVID-19 vaccination before 30 June 2023.

This will also be the last day that the vaccine is available to those who have had just one dose or none (and who were aged 5 or above last August).

After 30 June, the offer will be more targeted to people at increased risk from COVID-19 and most will have to wait until a future campaign.

Those eligible for a spring vaccine or still missing an earlier dose can book an appointment through the NHS app, online at www.nhs.uk/COVIDvaccine or by calling 119 for free.

Delivery plan for tackling the COVID-19 backlog of elective care

The NHS and government have set out a blueprint to address backlogs built up during the COVID pandemic and tackle long waits for care with a massive expansion in capacity for tests, checks and treatments.

The ‘Delivery plan for tackling the COVID-19 backlog of elective care’ sets out a progressive agenda for how the NHS will recover elective care over the next three years. This is in the context of restoring elective performance in the longer term. It explains how the NHS will take the opportunity to capitalise on current success and embed new ideas to ensure elective services are fit for the future.
