A request to all healthcare settings to implement the revised UK infection prevention and control (IPC) guidance published by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

This revised guidance reaffirms the measures needed to protect staff and patients including:

  • universal use of face masks for staff
  • face masks/coverings for all patients/visitors in health and care settings
  • additional transmission-based precautions for COVID-19 and other respiratory infection patients.
