Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, Non-executive Director x3

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS) is seeking to appoint three exceptional individuals to become Non-executive Directors, to support us in our vision: to be the best provider of local healthcare and to be a great place to work.

DCHS is a successful and person-centred organisation, rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC and delivering a broad range of community services across a significant and diverse geography.  We are well-led, with our vision, mission, culture and values embedded across the organisation and are committed to working together with our colleagues, partners and communities to improve the wellbeing of our populations across Derby and Derbyshire.  We’re now integral to the Joined-Up Care Derbyshire (JUCD) partnership of health and social care organisations working ever more closely as an Integrated Care System.

We employ approximately 4,500 people, making us one of the largest providers of specialist community health services in the country. We serve a patient population of more than one million people across Derbyshire and Derby.  We care for patients across a wide range of services and locations, including 10 community hospital and 28 health centres. We also deliver care from patients’ own homes, GP practices, schools and care homes. Our digital transformation programme and contemporary ways of working mean we’re also able to deliver high quality virtual care via remote consultations, where clinically appropriate.

We are seeking to appoint three new Non-Executive Directors to our Board and are looking for collaborative and strategic candidates to provide support, oversight, governance and leadership  who can bring potential insights across the fields of workforce, social care and clinical healthcare services.  You will join a strong and high-performing Board, comprised of individuals with a wide range of professional backgrounds and lived experience, to make a positive difference to the wellbeing of our communities and workforce.

We value diversity and so are keen to ensure our Board represents the populations it serves and that we maintain a good balance of views, skills and experience in the Board.  If you have a commitment and passion for the NHS and would like to know more, please visit www.alumniglobal.com/job/neds-dchs or contact Michael Earnshaw, our partners at Alumni Global, Michael via E: michael.earnshaw@alumniglobal.com or M: +44 7719 055 971
