Bolton NHS Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive range of health and wellbeing services to people across Bolton, Greater Manchester and the surrounding area. Care is delivered through the Royal Bolton Hospital, a network of community sites and clinics, and directly in people’s homes. With over 6,000 staff operating across 25 locations, the Trust is one of the busiest and most dynamic providers in the North West, serving a population of around 280,000.

Non-executive Directors at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation delivers safe, effective and compassionate care while maintaining the highest standards of governance and accountability. Working alongside Executive Directors as equal members of the Board, they share collective responsibility for the Trust’s strategic direction and performance.

We are now seeking  outstanding individuals to join its Board of Directors as a Non-executive Director, a Non-executive Director to chair the Audit and Risk Committee and a Non-executive Director to Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee.

“To be eligible, candidates must meet the requirements of the Fit and Proper Persons Test (Health and Social Care Act 2008), reside within the NHS England NorthWest Region (Greater Manchester,) and not be employed by the Trust. As a proud membership organisation, the Trust automatically enrols all Non-Executive Directors as members; membership is free and open to all ages.
