The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres and an international leader in research, education, and innovation. We are seeking 2 Non-Executive Directors with strong finance or commercial expertise or digital/data technologies expertise to join our Board and help shape the future of cancer care.

Role 1: Finance/Commercial expertise

Role 2: Digital/Data Technologies expertise

Location: The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester

Remuneration: £14,500 per annum

Time Commitment: Approx. 2.5–3 days per month

As a voting member of the Trust Board, you will provide independent oversight, constructive challenge, and strategic guidance to ensure we deliver safe, effective, and financially sustainable services. You will champion our values of openness, integrity, and excellence while engaging with stakeholders and supporting governance at the highest level.

What we’re looking for:

• Professional qualification or significant experience in finance, audit, or commercial management or
• Significant experience of digital and data technologies at board level / extensive digital and data business transformation leadership experience
• Board-level experience in a complex organisation
• Strong understanding of financial strategy, risk management, and governance
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
