This post is specifically looking to recruitment a Non-executive Director with a financial/accountancy qualification to chair the Trust Audit Committee. Your willingness to share your experience and insight with us is greatly appreciated and reflects a shared commitment to improving health and care for our communities.

Non-executive Directors work alongside the Chair and Executive Directors of the Foundation Trust Board of Directors, advising on the development of strategy and overseeing the performance of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

They share responsibility with other Directors for the success of the organisation, using available resources to deliver healthcare and improve the health of local communities.

Non-executive Directors are members of the Board of Directors and bring independence, external skills and perspectives. Board members share a corporate responsibility for governance and performance in meeting both strategic and operational objectives.

Non-executive Directors are held to account by the Council of Governors and are expected to attend quarterly Council of Governors meetings, relevant sub-committee meetings, and engage with Governors through informal means.
