University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, Non-executive Director x2
University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHLG) is seeking to appoint two exceptional Non-executive Directors to help shape the future of one of the largest healthcare groups in the country. UHLG brings together Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, serving communities across Liverpool, Cheshire and Merseyside through a shared vision of improving outcomes, reducing inequalities and delivering sustainable healthcare.
As a Non-executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent oversight, constructive challenge and strategic support to the Group Board. Working collaboratively with Executive and Non-Executive colleagues, you will help ensure that high standards of governance, accountability and stewardship are maintained while supporting the delivery of high-quality, sustainable and equitable healthcare services.
We are looking to appoint two individuals who will bring different but complementary skills and experiences to strengthen the Board.
One role will bring strong community insight and engagement, helping the Board remain connected to the experiences, needs and aspirations of the populations we serve. We are particularly interested in candidates with a track record of community leadership, partnership working, reducing inequalities, improving population health or representing the interests of local communities.
The second role will bring business, commercial and financial expertise, providing strategic insight and constructive challenge in relation to financial sustainability, transformation, productivity, value and risk across a large and complex organisation. We are interested in hearing from senior leaders with significant experience in business, finance or commercial environments who can support long-term organisational sustainability and strategic development.
