Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust is at a particularly exciting time of change, innovation and implementation of new ways of working for the Board and our organisation. Guided by our new Five Year Focus 2026 -2031, we are working in close partnership to transform health and care in Gloucestershire, renewing and refreshing our internal governance and service delivery structures and ensuring a continuing focus on getting the basics right too.
We could not take the Trust in this exciting direction without our highly talented and engaged Board, and we are now looking to appoint a new NED, specifically with a Clinical background, who will play a key role in driving us forward during this exciting time.
Suitable candidates will ideally bring insight into Primary Care, as well as a track record of system-level contributions within the NHS. You will share our passion for community health services, and our vision and values, and bring the specific skills and perspectives we need to keep moving forward.
You’ll be joining a strong and diverse team of people who will welcome your perspective and insight. Your values and how you think will matter most of all.

To be eligible for appointment, candidates are required to reside within a certain area relevant to the Trust’s public constituency. NEDs must also register as a Public Member of the Foundation Trust.
For the purposes of this recruitment, we are specifically looking for people who reside in Gloucestershire, or in a neighbouring county.
