NHS 111 data for August 2013

The NHS 111 data for August 2013 published today shows NHS 111 continues to provide a good service to the public and more people are getting access to the service.  93 percent of the population of England now have access to NHS111.

The data also shows that calls were answered promptly with 94.1 percent of callers answered within 60 seconds and of all calls offered only 0.5 percent were abandoned after waiting longer than 30 seconds.

Users of NHS 111 services continue to show high levels of satisfaction with 111, 92 percent of callers are satisfied with the service. For example people like retired railway worker Reg Fletcher and his wife Peggy  from Derbyshire who found the 111 service ‘right on track’, having helped the couple when Reg needed vital medical advice first on Christmas Day and then more recently.

“111 is brilliant,” says Reg from Borrowash in Derbyshire.   Reg’s role on the railways, which included a stint working in Canada, involved testing rails to ensure that they were fit for purpose and to prevent accidents. “111 certainly passes the test for me and the staff are very kind. Our calls have always been answered straight away and it’s given us a lot of confidence knowing that 111 is there for us night and day.”

And Mary Tong who lives in Dronfield Woodhouse says, “I’m very pleased with the service. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. Everything happened exactly as they said it would happen and I’m delighted with the treatment I received.”
