National Director: Patient Insight

Thank you for your interest in the post of National Director: Patient Insight.

Establishing the NHS Commissioning Board (NHS CB) gives us a great opportunity to develop a brand new organisation that has the culture, style and leadership to truly improve outcomes for our patients. In Developing the NHS Commissioning Board (document is available on our archived website) which was published last year, David Nicholson set out his vision for the operation and design of the NHS CB, but achieving that vision and improving outcomes for our patients will depend on those people who join the NHS CB team.

The post of National Director: Patient Insight is a vital role in achieving the Board’s vision.  You will need to use sophisticated information on patients’ views and experiences to really understand their needs and help us shape services in response. This will be a key test for the success of the Board in the new system.

Attached is a full candidate information pack (document is available on our archived website) that sets out some background information, details about the role and how to apply. Please also explore the website to find out more about our exciting vision for the future and the progress we have made to date.

If you have any questions about the role or about the vision for the NHS CB you can contact Patrick Johnson on 020 7830 8052 or Sean Roberts on 020 7343 3639 who will be pleased to speak with you.

For information about the selection process, please contact Lydia Leverton on 0113 394 7986. The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Tuesday 10 April 2012.

We hope you are excited by the challenge this opportunity presents and that you will be inspired to apply.
