Trusts publish outline business cases to develop proton beam therapy centres in the UK
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust have published details of their outline business cases (OBC’s), supporting the development of a proton beam therapy service for the UK.
HM Treasury gave approval to the trusts’ OBCs in July this year, which enabled the hospitals to launch the procurement of the specialist high tech equipment needed to run the cutting edge service.
Both trusts will now develop full business cases for approval by the Treasury.
