On 9 July the NHS England Personal Health Budget Delivery Team will be hosting a discussion on Twitter to discuss the further rollout of personal health budgets, and the support that clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) need to deliver this well.

All CCGs need to be able to offer personal health budgets to adults eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare, and children in receipt of continuing care, as they have a legal entitlement. The Five Year Forward View: Planning for 2015/16 outlines a further expectation that over the next year CCGs will expand their local offer of personal health budgets to others who could benefit, and currently work is underway locally to explore where this could work well for people. On Thursday 9 July we will be discussing the opportunities and challenges this presents, and inviting comments to help shape our delivery support programme to CCGs over the next year.
