Lucy Vickers, Chief Data Officer:

Lucy has extensive senior-level experience in developing data and analytical work programmes, establishing teams, building capability and capacity, working collaboratively across the health sector, wider government, and in partnership with academia. She has worked at DHSC for five years, joining during the Covid pandemic to set up and lead the data and analytical function in the Test and Trace Programme, then led Statistics and Data Science before moving to my current role. I have previously worked at the Office for National Statistics and in other government departments, leading analytical work on health and care; population, administrative data and setting up ONS Data as a Service, the Administrative Data Research Service, the forerunner for ADRUK.
