1. Welcome and introductions
The director of data management and transformation opened the meeting, welcomed the Federated Data Platform (FDP) Programme Board members, and noted apologies.
The director of data management and transformation provided a general update on the FDP, noting that the programme was now entering quarter 3.
The minutes from the Programme Board meeting held on 4 August 2025 were reviewed and approved.

The Board reviewed the updated action log. The actions were noted and received.
4. Decisions made
The director of data management and transformation summarised the decisions previously approved and escalated from Programme Decision Group meetings.
Item for decision – Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Clinical Coding Minimum Viable product (MVP)
The deputy director of artificial intelligence joined the meeting and presented the AI in Clinical Coding MVP, which was brought for decision by the Board.
The Board was supportive of recommendation presented and approved the decision.

The director of data management and transformation provided an overview of the FDP highlight report.
The Board received and noted the highlight report.
6. FDP demand and delivery update
The associate director, head of delivery provided an update on August 2025 demand and delivery activity.

The deputy director of product development and implementation provided an update on national, local delivery and product progress.

8. Cancer Plan
The regional director of digital transformation and director of cancer presented the Cancer Plan.
The Board received an update on the progress and ambitions of the Digital Cancer Plan.
The Board noted the update.
9. Any other business and close
The deputy director of product development and implementation announced that a 2 day ‘Build with FDP’ event was being planned for October 2025 under the theme ‘Build an NHS fit for the future – powered by NHS FDP’. A link to sign up for the event was shared with the Board.
