Directors of Public Health issue winter vaccination appeal

12 November – As flu cases begin to rise across the region, Directors of Public Health in Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull are urging everyone who is eligible to come forward for their flu vaccination as soon as possible.

Stay Well This Winter: Get Vaccinated at a Mobile Clinic in the Black Country

As winter approaches and viruses spread, flu mobile vaccination clinics are being set up to encourage people to stay well this winter.

The community mobile clinics are being hosted at a range of locations in Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall and Sandwell, with no appointment necessary.

Those eligible to receive their flu vaccine at the mobile clinics include:

• All adults aged 65 years and over
• people with certain long term health conditions, from 6 months to under 65s
• All children aged 2–3 years old on 31 August 2025
• Pregnant women
• Frontline health and social care staff, including those working in care homes for older adults

Those eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine can also receive it at the mobile clinics.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations

Find vaccination drop-in clinics in Coventry and Warwickshire by checking the table below.

You can also find walk-in Covid-19 vaccination site using the NHS website to get a vaccination without an appointment. You do not need to be registered with a GP.

And, if you would like to book a Covid-19 vaccination appointment, you can do this via the National Booking System or by calling 119.

All clinics currently listed are offering both Covid and Flu vaccinations.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations

The tables below contains information about when and where our mobile vaccination vans will be located and which vaccines will be offered during the clinics. No appointment needed for our mobile clinics. Just drop by and get vaccinated.

The van is also offering blood pressure checks and can support with questions regarding the NHS app. Just ask the team on the van for more information.

Please be aware other vaccination van can only vaccinate eligible adults and children aged 2—3 year olds. If you are eligible and fall outside this group please book through your school, GP practice or pharmacy.
