To mark 75 years of the NHS, London Metropolitan Archives is hosting a free event on Friday 7 July to celebrate the people, places and events that make our NHS what it is today.

This is a unique chance to get hands-on with history and explore archive documents that trace the histories of London’s hospitals.​ Guests will be able to explore the highlights of hospital collections from 1551 to the modern day, including a medicine recipe book, matron’s character books, and photographs of doctors and nurses.​

London Metropolitan Archives will showcase archive content from its collections including:​ St Thomas’ Hospital​, Westminster Hospital​, St George’s Hospital​, and the Evelina London Children’s Hospital​.
