Our Mental Health Director, Claire Murdoch, wishes happy birthday to the NHS and reflects on how far the organisation has come on improving mental health care across the country.

Claire started her career as a mental health nurse in the NHS 40 years ago, when Victorian asylums were still running; today, she leads a Mental Health Trust in London and is proud of the development of services in the community, constantly adapted to the needs of children, young people and adults with mental health issues.
