North West London Community and Mental Health Collaborative: Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and West London NHS Trust, Chair of the Board-in-Common
We are seeking an exceptional leader to become Chair of the Board-in-Common for three of London’s most influential NHS Trusts. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of integrated community and mental health services across one of the most diverse and dynamic regions in the UK.
Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH), Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL), and West London NHS Trust (WLT) have come together in a powerful provider collaborative. Each Trust retains its own Board and identity, but together we are driving a shared strategic agenda to improve care, reduce inequalities, and innovate across systems. Collectively, we serve millions of people across Greater London, Hertfordshire, and beyond, delivering services that span the entire life course—from newborn care to high secure mental health.
CLCH is a leading provider of community health services, supporting over 3.7 million patient contacts annually. Its teams deliver care in homes and clinics across 14 London boroughs and Hertfordshire, helping people stay well, manage long-term conditions, and avoid unnecessary hospital visits. CNWL is one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country, offering a wide range of community and mental health services, including care in prisons and specialist services across London and the South East. WLT also provides community and mental health services and is nationally recognised for its forensic and high secure services, including Broadmoor Hospital. All three are key partners in the North West London Integrated Care System.
Together, these organisations are committed to delivering compassionate, inclusive, and sustainable healthcare. We are looking for a Chair who shares our values and brings a proven track record of strategic leadership in complex environments. You will be a visible and credible ambassador, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and passionate about improving outcomes for patients and communities.
We particularly welcome applications from women, people from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds, and disabled candidates, who are currently underrepresented in Chair roles. This is a high-profile, high-impact position that offers the chance to make a lasting difference.
