South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, Associate Non-executive Director
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust (GEH) are seeking an Associate Non-executive Director to join their shared Board.
Following the creation of a single Executive Team and shared Board in October 2025, SWFT and GEH are working together to deliver outstanding, integrated healthcare for almost one million people across Warwickshire, Coventry, Leicestershire and Solihull. Together, the two Trusts employ more than 8,000 people and are recognised for their commitment to high-quality patient care, innovation and collaborative leadership, while remaining focused on the distinct needs of the communities they serve.
As an Associate Non-Executive Director, you will work alongside an experienced Board to provide independent challenge, strategic insight and effective governance across both organisations. You will contribute to shaping the future direction of the two Trusts, supporting high standards of performance, quality and financial sustainability while ensuring that the voices of patients, staff and local communities remain central to decision-making.
We’re looking for values-led leaders who bring senior or Board-level experience gained within a large and complex organisation. You will have strong strategic judgement, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to constructively challenge and support executive colleagues. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with expertise in estates and capital, digital transformation, public health, population health or social care, although we welcome applications from individuals with a broad range of backgrounds who share our commitment to public service, collaboration and improving outcomes for local communities.
Previous Non-Executive Director experience is welcomed but is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced senior leaders looking to take their first NHS Non-Executive role and contribute to one of the most innovative and collaborative partnerships in the NHS.
If you’re inspired by the opportunity to help shape the future of two high-performing organisations, influence the delivery of the NHS 10-Year Plan and make a lasting difference to the health and wellbeing of local communities, we’d love to hear from you.
