PG certificate funded places in Advancing Diabetes Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Greater Manchester primary care staff to join a fully funded PG Certificate in Advancing Diabetes Care.

The course is open to all primary care colleagues who have a first degree and hold a professional registration with a UK regulatory body.

The course is a Level 7, 60 credit course which lasts 9 months beginning in September. It will be delivered through a mix of face-to-face sessions in Central Manchester and self-directed study.  It will cover the following modules:

  • Effective person-centred diabetes education
  • Leadership in diabetes care
  • Caring for People with diabetes
  • Psychological and psychosocial aspects of diabetes care

In the first instance, colleagues are asked to complete an expression of interest form. Please email  england.diabetesmyway@nhs.net to receive this.

The deadline for getting your expression of interest form in is 5pm on Friday 23 June 2023.

Please note there are a limited number of places available across GM, and these will be allocated to each locality based on the diabetes population.
