Next steps for the Five Year Forward View and planning for 2016-17: The NHS Leaders meetings – book now

Local and national leaders from across the health service are to come together to discuss NHS plans for 2016/2017 and the delivery of the Five Year Forward View.

NHS provider chief executives and CCG accountable officers are being invited to join the leaders of national health and care bodies – including Simon Stevens, CEO of NHS England, and Jim Mackey, CEO of NHS Improvement – to discuss how services should be shaped in the coming financial year and beyond.

The meetings will include initial reaction from the leaders of the national bodies to the Spending Review, which will set out the financial envelope for the NHS.

The national leaders will also give a briefing on the approach to planning for 2016/17 and beyond, ahead of the publication of the Shared NHS Planning Guidance, and discuss how this can support delivery of the Five Year Forward View – a shared vision of the future of the NHS.
