When the daily care it delivered to its care home was becoming unmanageable, the Vicarage Lane Surgery in Stratford participated in the Time for Care programme, to help it facilitate improvements to develop a more streamlined process. Among the improvements made, duplicate tasks reduced, collectively releasing 12 hours a week of admin and a clinical pharmacist team member’s time. The time released is allowing the practice to improve access for patients, by offering more patient facing appointments and conducting long term condition reviews to improve quality of proactive care.
