The study by McKee et al (2009) is a multi-professional European study that looked at the difficulties, satisfactions and management strategies of carers of older people across three European countries.

Summary

Three indices; Carers Assessment of Difficulties Index, Carers Assessment of Satisfactions Index and the Carers Assessment of Managing Index (CADI-CASI-CAMI) were used to perform a psychometric evaluation of 295 carers along-side data collection on carer demographics and caregiving characteristics. The study provides initial support for construct validity of the indices and their use with family carers of older people.
