Summary
This is a mixed method study with 171 young people aged 12–18 years. This study demonstrates nursing research leadership in addition to collaborative working across disciplines to develop technological solutions in healthcare for better service user experiences and better outcomes. The author suggests that, the developed ‘Adolescent Diabetes Needs Assessment Tool’ combines both reflective learning with needs assessment to support patient‐centred clinical consultations.
