This ready reckoner has been produced by NHS England and NHS Improvement in partnership with the BMA General Practitioners Committee (GPC) and is intended to provide an indication of the changes in income streams that may affect GMS practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) from 1 April 2021 – and, as further updated, from 1 October 2021 too (where applicable).

Summary

The ready-reckoner was updated as at 1 April 2021 to cover income in 2021/22 – and to correct an error in a previous version to eliminate MPIG reinvestment, which ceased at the end of 2020/21.

It has been further updated (i.e. as at 1 October 2021) with the recent changes and updates to PCN income, maximum reimbursable ARRS rates effective from 1 October – and also includes estimated PCN ARRS entitlement sums for 2022/23 and 2023/24 to support PCNs with future ARRS workforce planning.

November 2021 update: This replaces the previous version that had a typographical error in the formulae.
