NHS England has issued a letter as guidance to the system following the decision by Hologic to discontinue the production of their Fetal Fibronectin (FFN) Tests, which are used as a preterm birth marker at the point of care.

In 2023 NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) were alerted to a supply disruption of Hologic fetal fibronectin (FFN) cassettes and this letter can also be found below.
