This document, previously known as a price activity matrix (PAM), is the technical specification of the indicative activity plan (IAP) reporting specification showing the individual data elements (fields), their format and lists of codes where these are not contained in standard data sources, eg the NHS Data Model and Dictionary v3.

Summary

The purpose of the indicative activity plan (IAP) reporting specification is to enable the interchange, in a uniform format, of contract plans between commissioners and providers of healthcare.

This will ensure that the interchange of contract plans is consistent across all organisations.

The change in name from price activity matrix (PAM) has been made in order to match national planning guidance and reflect the new financial landscape.
