National tariff payment system documents, annexes and supporting documents

The documents here are the 2022/23 National Tariff Payment System (NTPS), which came into effect on 1 April 2022. Previous tariffs are available from our Past national tariffs page.

Since publication of the 2022/23 NTPS, changes have been made to the tariff’s cost uplift factor, with revised prices published. The prices published are:

  • 2022/23 tariff prices – published as part of the National Tariff Payment System (cost uplift factor 2.8%).
  • Inflation uplift prices – published in May 2022, uplifted to reflect additional inflation (cost uplift factor 3.5%). Applicable for all activity from 1 April.
  • Pay award prices – published in August 2022, updated to reflect 2022/23 pay award (cost uplift factor 5.2%). Applicable for all activity from 1 September.
  • National insurance change prices – published in November 2022, updated to reflect reduced national insurance contributions (cost uplift factor 4.7%). Applicable for all activity from the date of the national insurance changes.
