Summary
This paper explores the relationship between a humanizing value framework for health care and the practice of qualitative research and aims to show that such a framework can guide both research and practice. The framework is formed of eight philosophically informed dimensions of humanization. The dimensions are; “insiderness”, agency, uniqueness, togetherness, sense-making, personal journey, sense of place and embodiment.
