Deadline extended for Chair recruitment to Clinical Priorities Advisory Group and Rare Diseases Advisory Group

NHS England launched the recruitment for Chair positions for both its Clinical Priorities Advisory Group (CPAG) and Rare Diseases Advisory Group (RDAG) on 6 September 2013.

The deadline for applicants has been extended to 9am on 7 October 2013.

CPAG is responsible for making recommendations regarding those services which NHS England is directly responsible for commissioning, whilst RDAG will make recommendations about which highly specialised services or technologies should be considered for investment.

NHS England is keen to encourage a strong and diverse candidate field for these positions. The successful candidates will be chairing national groups that make recommendations on issues that could have a significant impact on patient care, such as how best to use available resources, and which new treatments or technologies to prioritise.
