Nigel Edwards is an independent health policy expert and former Chief Executive of the Nuffield Trust (2014–2023).

With a career spanning NHS management, policy and consultancy, he has led work on health system reform, innovation and service delivery, including commissioning.

He has held senior roles at the NHS Confederation, King’s Fund and KPMG, advises internationally (including WHO), and is an honorary professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
