WP1 Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for High Risk Young People

Several national and regional workshops have taken place around this work and West Midlands Clinical Network are supporting any work planned for Mids and East, in particular the work in the West Midlands. It is useful that the Clinical Network area footprint is the same of that as Specialised Commissioning and the Health and Justice team.
The West Midlands already has a small Community Forensic CAMHS team in place. However, a workshop took place on Tuesday 28th February to engage with all relevant stakeholders and to work together to develop local understanding and a Community Forensic CAMHS service that meets the needs of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the West Midlands. Regional action plans for Community FCAMHS were submitted during February 2017 and the outputs from the event on the 28th will help to shape these plans further. Engagement with services and individuals who may need to refer to this service is being actively encouraged and close links with our CYP participation work are planned, as input from the children and young people who may be in contact with this service is crucial to its success. If you would like to know more about the workshop on Tuesday 28 February, please use the link below:
