Health and wellbeing toolkit for nurses and midwives: “Caring for yourself while you care for others”
NHS England and NHS Improvement in the Midlands has worked with health charity C3 to create a regional version of its health and wellbeing toolkit for nurses and midwives.
The toolkit forms part of C3’s Nursing You programme, which encourages nurses to become healthy lives ambassadors for their profession and communities.
Nurse Equalities Manager, Tom Warner, said: “This interactive toolkit for nurses and midwives features links to a large range of free health and wellbeing resources including websites, apps, podcasts and physical support groups. To support our Midlands nurses and midwives, we have incorporated a wide range of local resources and links to organisations offering support.
“The physical and psychological toll which the pandemic is having upon our nurses and midwives is recognised. It has also amplified profound inequalities for black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) colleagues. Please share this resource and encourage your colleagues to use it to support themselves and others.”
