NHS England ensures high-quality learning environments for healthcare learners though its Education quality strategy and framework. Quality interventions are used to monitor and improve education quality across various healthcare settings. These interventions involve gathering feedback from learners and supervisors during visits to provider organisations.

The reports from these visits offer a snapshot of the learning environment at a single point in time based on the experiences of learners, educators, and management. NHS England collaborates with providers to address areas where quality standards are not met, as outlined in the Education quality framework and NHS education contract. We also identify and share good practices in healthcare education.
