Submit your daily situation report (sitrep)
This page sets out the process that NHS providers need to follow when submitting daily situation reports.
We’ve developed an automated data collection system, which went live in October 2017. Many NHS providers are now auto validating their submissions as the data quality has been improved over the summer months.

UEC Daily SitRep
The template will need to be populated by all trusts with a type 1 A&E department, with additional metrics coming online over the winter period. The collection will not be stepped down after winter, though some of the metrics may be.
In addition, a separate return will be on standby for collection over winter to cover patients with influenza. Should this collection be required we will notify all trusts separately. The return will be collected in the same portal as the UEC Daily SitRep.
Daily reports must be signed off by a duty director, or other senior manager, appointed to this role by the trust’s chief executive, by the deadline of 11am each day. It is the responsibility of each trust to ensure their return is accurate and fit for purpose.
Each collection will cover the previous 24 hours, while some metrics collected are a snapshot in time, please see the guidance document for further information.
The collection portal for the daily sitrep collection will now have the function to amend daily submissions for the previous 14 days. The collection will still need to be submitted by 11am each morning and the collection portal will still close each afternoon in order to collate the daily sitrep report.
