Message from Ruth May, Chief Nursing Officer for England.

I am pleased to announce that the next Chief Nursing Officer for England’s (CNO) Summit will take place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on the 11 and 12 March 2020.

This will be my second Summit as Chief Nursing Officer. As part of the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife it will provide a perfectly timed opportunity to reflect on the vision that I outlined in March 2019 – to consider the progress we have made together to a workforce fit for the future, to expressing our pride in the professions and importantly to speaking with one collective voice.

I am keen for the Summit to celebrate the fantastic contribution that nursing, midwifery and care staff make to enable delivery of the Long Term Plan.
