Mental Health Compact
The Mental Health Compact – uniting to provide high quality mental health care in London
The Mental Health Compact sets out cross-agency working to ensure high quality care for people in mental health crisis.
It sets out working between London, the East of England and the South East’s mental health and acute trusts, Local Authorities, ICBs, NHS England, ambulance and police services.
We intend to establish a common understanding of what is expected from each part of the health and care system in providing access to mental health inpatient facilities, including health-based places of safety for patients in mental health crisis.
Drawing on existing regulations and policies governing mental health services in England, as well as existing good practice, the Compact outlines the roles and responsibilities of individual organisations along all children and young people and adult patient pathways to admission.
