This page provides NHS respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) invitation materials in easy read, audio, and other languages.

The RSV vaccine is recommended for:

  • people aged 75 or over
  • people living in a care home for older adults
  • pregnant women, to help protect their baby

Contact your GP surgery to make an appointment. If they cannot book you in straight away, please ask when they will have more RSV appointments.

Some community pharmacies in parts of England also offer RSV vaccinations. You can check if there’s a pharmacy near you and find an appointment at www.nhs.uk/find-rsv

RSV vaccination is recommended in every pregnancy to protect newborns in their first weeks of life. If you’re 28 weeks or more, ask your maternity team to arrange your RSV vaccination, or book with your GP practice. You can also  check if there’s a community pharmacy offering vaccinations near you at www.nhs.uk/find-rsv.
