Dr Bola Owolabi, Director — Healthcare Inequalities Improvement Programme at NHS England, visited the seaside town of Cromer to see a Seafit Health event organised by The Fishermen’s Mission; a charity that provides emergency support alongside practical, financial, spiritual and emotional care for fishermen and their families.

Fishermen can suffer the effects of a poor diet at sea – exacerbated by the long hours and shift patterns making it challenging to access routine healthcare services and health checks. In this short film Dr Owolabi meets the team delivering healthcare by the sea and some of the fishermen being helped as a result.
