Balanced flu team

To ensure all staff feel included it is important to involve as many different types of staff in the planning of a flu vaccination programme as possible to ensure good representation

Put together a team of people responsible for ensuring the flu vaccination is taken up by staff formed with representatives from all parts of your organisation, directorates, staff groups and trade union reps. A diverse team will strengthen your campaign and promote good take up.

  • Get a good skill mix, you will need a range of skills from communications to clinical.
  • Start planning early, the flu team needs to meet regularly from August.
  • Appoint a flu champion to each key work area or team.
