The NHS England London Revalidation Team is based in Wellington House, London, SE1. The team is led by the Regional Revalidation Lead, supported by the Revalidation Manager and Revalidation Coordinators. They are a first point of contact for the designated bodies for any queries regarding revalidation in London. The team support all designated bodies connected with NHS England London region, including NHS organisations, the independent sector, faculties, CCS registered framework agencies, hospices and charities. The Associate Medical Director (Revalidation Regional Appraisal Lead) provides leadership and guidance of appraisal across London, benchmarking opportunities and performance review to the London Regional Appraisers.

  • Accountable Responsible Officer role for the management of the Revalidation of Medical Practitioners.
  • To provide the lead for investigation into Performer Investigations covering all Healthcare Professionals.
  • To provide where required clinical advice in response to patient complaints.
  • To maintain effective and efficient responses to GMC, GDC, GOC & GPC enquiries.
  • To lead the Decision Making Groups for the Area team ensuring robust governance arrangements, any decisions made are fair, evidence based and proportionate.
  • To act as main contact point for Primary Care related enquiries from NCAS, CQC, NHS Litigation Authority, Business Services Authorities, FHSA (within the London Region), NHS England.
