Stroke Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STP) Programme Board: The West Midlands Stroke STP Programme Board acts as an expert consultative body for the provision of stroke care across the region on behalf of the West Midlands STPs and advises on wider system on issues regarding the development and delivery of stroke specific services for the population of the region. The West Midlands Cardiovascular (CVD) clinical network manages and supports the programme board meetings and work streams.

The board brings together NHS England, the West Midlands CVD Clinical Network, NHS Improvement, Specialised Commissioning, STP Stroke Clinical Leads, STP Leads, Public Health England, Health Education England, West Midlands Ambulance Service, the Stroke Association and data and analytical support from The Strategy Unit.

The board aspires to guide quality improvement along the entire stroke pathway, from prevention, through treatment to rehabilitation.

We are currently working on the West Midlands Stroke Strategy which will be available in early 2019.
