What we did
- Developed a maternal mental health care pathway to support the implementation of NICE CG192.
- Reviewed current perinatal mental health service provision throughout the regions.
- Established Maternity Clinical Experts Groups.
- Established and continuing to coordinate 15 regional intra partum stillbirth review panels to share stillbirths lessons learned and highlight improvement opportunities.
- Help to reduce stillbirth rates within the regions.
- Introducing the National Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle ahead of its national launch.
- Reviewing existing enhanced midwifery services across the regions.
- Developing regional guidelines for the management of pregnant women with Hyperemesis, a diagnostic and planning pathway for abnormally invasive placenta and an integrated care pathway for women at risk of placenta accreta.
- Developing & introducing a care pathway for the management of intra-uterine transfers.
