The Highley Health and Wellbeing Centre is spearheading a new, integrated approach to care in the West Midlands countryside.

It offers a one-stop community hub combining general practice, social prescribing, health visiting, women’s health and early help services.

Dr Jess Harvey, Clinical Lead for the Primary Care Network, won an NHS Excellence Award for leadership in 2026. Her work includes the centre as well as wider integration projects such as a dementia neighbourhood team, carer connect group, multidisciplinary pain service and women’s health hubs. Together, these improve access, link services and make it easier for people to connect and get the support they need.
