Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Urgent Care Board worked together as a seven day action team to systematically review and test what services would be needed over seven days to help ensure ‘equal care every day’ in the emergency department and medical wards at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Enabling 7 Day Services
Health Watch East Sussex, High Weald Lewes and Havens Clinical Commissioning Group, in partnership with the seven day services team, devised a methodology for engaging patients and public which ignited interest, increased knowledge base within the community and facilitated learning about 7 day services. This has resulted in the prioritisation of the delivery of 7 day services by local commissioners.
County Durham and Darlington Health Community developed two new information sharing agreements (ISAs) to support the delivery of seven day services and the development of new ways of working. The ISAs enable all parties to agree what information will be shared, how it will be shared, transferred, stored and securely disposed of. Patient data and information can now be shared between local health and care organisations and the voluntary sector.
