On 1 September 2015, Capita took on responsibility for the delivery of NHS England’s primary care support services. The new name for the service is Primary Care Support England (PCSE).
The vision for primary care support services is to transform what were previously locally managed operations, into a modern and efficient national customer-focused service. To help achieve this, PCSE is looking to give practices easier access to services through PCSE Online.
PCSE Online (previously referred to as the ‘PCSE Portal’) currently provides primary care providers with a quick and easy way for ordering and tracking NHS stationery. Over time, PCSE Online will also provide easier access to additional services, including National Performers Lists entry and change requests, payments, cervical screening administration and Pharmacy Market Entry applications.
