Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) have legal duties to involve the public. NHS England is required to carry out an annual assessment setting out how well the ICB has performed on its statutory duties, including on public involvement. We have published supporting guidance on the first annual assessment for 2022-23 and this includes considering how the ICB has promoted involvement and choice.
