Black History Month 2023: Saluting our Sisters
Throughout October, we’re marking Black History Month to celebrate and recognise black people in our workforce and our communities as well as educating people on black history. This year’s theme, ‘Saluting our Sisters’, emphasises the vital role black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change and building communities.
Members of our North West BAME Assembly have shared their personal reflections for Black History Month including Evelyn Asante-Mensah OBE, Chair of Pennine Care NHS FT, Estephanie Dunn Regional Director of Royal College of Nursing for the North West and Lucy Garuba Adult Nursing Student at the University of Manchester.
