UK Visa and Immigration Service (UKVI) guidance

All universities must undertake and adhere to government-mandated checks in line with the UK Visa and Immigration Service (UKVI) guidance. Prior to Brexit, this requirement was only necessary for non-UK nationals outside of the EU, but now also includes non-UK nationals within the EU. The universities must keep records such as an electronic copy of a passport and visa on their system required by UKVI and this is due to the universities being subject to a UKVI audit. If you possess a Tier 2 Working Visa, this does not remove the universities UKVI requirement of needing evidence of your documentation to prove the right to study in the UK.
