Patient Participation Voice (PPV)

“Being a patient representative has become an important part of my life. I am able to use my experience and the experience of others to help influence future policies and make treatment pathways more patient focussed”

Emma, Patient Representative, National Respiratory Programme

We have established a Public Participation Voice (PPV) programme specifically around the Heart Disease, Respiratory, Long-Covid and Diabetes services in East of England.

We are seeking the views of people who have a heart condition; respiratory issues; long covid and/or diabetes to better understand their experiences and help to improve NHS services in the East of England.

Feedback opportunities are varied and can involve adhoc help with a service user survey or participating in a focus group or providing specific feedback about NHS publicity material. Or something more formal, such as being the patient representative for a specific workforce group or an opportunity to share personal experiences.

Your feedback will help to improve the above services and will be used for a variety of specific purposes – from helping to provide

PATIENT FEEDBACK REGISTER – HOW TO APPLY:

patient satisfaction ratings and feedback about proposed service changes, through to helping us to identify specific gaps and ongoing issues.

Below are more details about how to register your general interest via our Patient Feedback Registry, as well as a list of the specific patient feedback opportunities currently available in the East.

If you have one or more of the above conditions, or care for someone who does, then we’d like to hear from you! We are currently compiling a Patient Feedback Registry of patients and carers who are happy to provide ongoing feedback about their experiences. We are especially keen to hear from people from a variety of backgrounds and communities.

It will be up to you about the level of involvement that you are able and comfortable to commit to and are interested in and we will be clear about what your feedback will be used for when you are participating in a specific activity. Whilst most activities will be online, your travel costs will be covered for any on-site participation activities

Once you have registered your interest, we will keep in touch and contact you direct about the latest available opportunities to give your views.

If you would like to register your interest, please complete our short survey and we will be in contact with you soon. The survey should take less than five minutes to complete.

If you have any queries, please contact the team via england.patientvoice.eastofengland@nhs.net
